Hello, Let Her Lead!

My name is Lauren, and it’s a pleasure to meet you!

I’m 29 years old, and I’m here with the aspiration of developing my leadership skills. But first of all, I’m eager to tell you a little bit (or a lot) about my professional life so far.

I’m currently the owner of The Waxing Aries, a local boutique waxing salon that I opened in May of 2020. I manage a small team of two wonderful girls, and hopefully growing! My goal from the beginning has been to empower women within our community and help them feel comfortable in their own skin.

My entrepreneurial journey has ignited within me a passion to empower entrepreneurial women in the beauty industry.

Since growing my team and stepping back more gradually from the treatment room, I have had more opportunity to consider the trajectory of my career, and how I want to feel fulfilled by my work going forward.

I have recently created an Instagram account called Brazilians at Tiffany’s, where I aspire to create content that discusses ideas around beauty industry entrepreneurship from a feminist viewpoint, with a whole lot of humor and personality. I also hope to eventually use this page to develop a podcast where I can chat with real women and discuss relevant topics while having fun and nurturing community.

My long-term goal that I’m currently working towards is my law school application to UTK. Once I complete my law education, I hope to become a beauty business lawyer and mentor for local women in my industry, assisting them with contracts, trademarks, IP and the like!
